Alexis Sanchez closes in on Arsenal move

Alexis Sanchez has edged yet closer to his move to Arsenal, with TalkSport reporting that the Chilean will sign a four-year contract at the Emirates Stadium.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that Sanchez’s £28 m move is ‘almost done’, and that the 25-year-old will become the North London club’s second summer signing, following on from Newcastle United full-back Mathieu Debuchy, who is also thought to be close to completing a move.

Sanchez was linked with a host of European clubs this summer, including Liverpool, who hoped to sign the World Cup star as part of the deal that saw Luis Suarez move to Barcelona. However, Arsenal look to have won the race for the player’s signature, who could complete his move later today.

Yaya Toure wants to leave Manchester City this summer

Yaya Toure has insisted that he wishes to leave Manchester City this summer, despite reports in the Daily Mirror stating that the Premier League champions will refuse to allow him to leave the club.

An Ivory Coast team-mate of Toure’s, says the midfielder has had enough of City’s hierarchy.

“He has accumulated too many grudges against [Manchester City’s] leaders and he will not stay with them,” said the unnamed player.

“He will do everything to ensure his departure this summer.”

Toure has publicly criticised City in recent weeks, firstly alleging that the Citizens failed to acknowledge his birthday and then claiming they denied him an opportunity to spend time with his dying brother.

Liverpool to sell Lucas to fund a move for Dejan Lovren

PSG will rival Chelsea with a £60 m bid for Paul Pogba 

Reports in France are suggesting that national champions PSG have made a £60 m offer for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.

Pogba, who has also been linked with both Chelsea and former club Manchester United this summer, could be on the move this summer after a series of excellent perofmrances for both club and country.

The 21-year-old Frenchman has seen his value sore in recent months, after leaving Old Trafford on a free transfer in the summer of 2012. He played every game of France’s World Cup campaign, scoring in the Last 16 match against Nigeria.
