The £10m rated Welsh international is known to be a Tottenham target and a player Liberty Stadium boss Garry Monk may struggle to keep hold of this summer.

Man United spent over £30m to sign Southampton teenager Shaw and with Patrice Evra set to join Juventus and Alexander Buttner having already left the club for a move to Dinamo Moscow there is scope for a back-up being brought in by the Old Trafford side.

The 21 year old Swansea City man has matured into one of the most consistent full-backs in the Premier League and has been a regular over the course of the past two campaigns, racking up 84 appearances for the south Wales side.

A move to Man United, or indeed Tottenham, will surely tempt Davies as it would give the defender the taste of football at the upper reaches of the top tier though a move to White Hart Lane could perhaps offer a better chance of regular first team action.
