Another member of the Netherlands successful World Cup squad has chosen not to follow manager Louis van Gaal to Old Trafford this summer.

The Daily Mirror has confirmed that Bruno Martins Indi has elected to move to Porto from current club Feyenoord. He has penned a four-year deal in Portugal after arriving back from Brazil.

Bruno Martins played in six of his country’s seven World Cup fixtures, including all three of their knockout games and the third vs four play-off game with Brazil. He played as part of a set of three centre-backs alongside former club teammate Stefan de Vrij and Aston Villa’s Ron Vlaar.

The 22-year-old has now chosen to join Porto, in a deal worth around €8million. Feyenoord, who have already sold Graziano Pelle to Southampton this summer and look set to lose De Vrij and Daryl Janmaat in the coming days, have bolstered their squad with the signing of experienced Dutch international Khalid Boulahrouz, who returns to his homeland from Danish outfit Brondby.

Janmaat, another of Van Gaal’s targets at Manchester United, is on the verge of a move to Newcastle United where he will replace Arsenal bound Mathieu Debuchy. Bruno Martins will meanwhile replace Eliaquim Mangala, who is set to join Manchester City from Porto.
