It’s been claimed by Italian source Gazzetta dello Sport that Antonio Conte opted to leave Juventus following the Serie A side’s acceptance of an offer from Man United for midfielder Arturo Vidal.

Many would have been shocked that Conte left the Turin side yesterday after guiding the Italian side to three domestic titles in his three seasons in charge but seemingly a move that would see Chilean midfielder Vidal angered the 44 year old manager sufficiently enough to lead to a surprise exit.

Initially advances from the Old Trafford side had been unsuccessful but having completed a lucrative new kit deal with Adidas the Premier League side may well have returned with an offer the Juventus’s owners opted to consider, much to Conte’s chagrin.
