Boys make Gerrard play in goal!
Liverpool played their first pre-season game of the summer on Wednesday, taking on Brondby in Denmark.
Captain Steven Gerrard did not feature as he is still on holiday, having been given extra time off on account of his involvement in the FIFA World Cup.
Gerrard was in Ibiza and he was heading to a bar to watch his teammates on TV when he was approached by a group of children.
The boys needed a goalkeeper for their kick-about and, despite having 114 senior international caps to his name as an outfield player, Gerrard accepted the invitation.
He uploaded the below image to his Instagram account, along with the message: “Got stopped on my way home to watch the match by these lads they made me go in goal for them!”
