Exclusive: Liverpool To Unveil New £62.5m Trio Next Week, With Spanish Star Joining Premier League Duo At Anfield

Reds’ superb transfer work set to continue.

Liverpool look close to completing the signings of three superb new players next week as the club look to finalise deals worth a total of around £62.5m, CaughtOffside understands.

Reds manager Brendan Rodgers has already been busy this summer, bringing in Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, Emre Can and Lazar Markovic to add to his squad at Anfield, though the club have also had to deal with the departure of star striker Luis Suarez, who signed for Barcelona for £75m.

After coming so close to winning the Premier League title last term, Liverpool will be hoping to build an even better squad of players to choose from next season, and the deals currently in the works will surely put them in good shape to mount a serious title challenge in 2014/15.

Liverpool are in advanced talks with all three main targets, and are hopeful of being unable to unveil all three at the same time early next week, with some currently closer to completion than others, but with the club fairly confident of bringing all of their targets in, possibly putting most of their work in the transfer market to an end early this summer. See below for the players who could be closing in on moves to the Merseyside giants in the next few days.

3) Dejan Lovren (Southampton, £20m)

In a deal worth £20m, Liverpool have made considerable progress in their efforts to sign Southampton centre-back Dejan Lovren. The Croatian international enjoyed a superb first season in the Premier League last season, and despite the Saints’ best efforts to keep the player at the club, they have reluctantly accepted a big-money bid from the Reds to allow him to negotiate a contract with the Merseyside club. The 24-year-old has been open about his desire to move to Anfield, and is likely to put pen to paper on a long-term contract to complete a move to join up with Brendan Rodgers’ squad for the new season.

2) Loic Remy (Queens Park Rangers, £8.5m)

A deal that is widely reported to be close to completion, Liverpool are the strong favourites to beat off competition for the signing of Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy. The French international has shown himself to be a reliable and consistent goalscorer in the Premier League, impressing for both QPR in 2012/13, and for loan club Newcastle United in the 2013/14 season. A player who would no doubt benefit from better service at a bigger club, Remy could certainly help Liverpool cope with the loss of Suarez’s goals upfront, and provide them with the finishing touch in front of goal to fire the club to the title. Potentially one of the bargains of the summer, Remy will only cost £8.5m due to a release clause in his contract at Loftus Road.

1) Isco (Real Madrid, £34m)

A player who was linked with a whole host of top clubs last summer, Liverpool now look to be winning the race for Spanish starlet Isco, who is leaving after just one season with Real Madrid. The former Malaga playmaker is a superb young talent and could benefit from a move to a club where he would be given more regular first-team football, and his style of play would surely see him fit in well at Liverpool. Brendan Rodgers has been determined to sign the 22-year-old after learning of his availability, and it seems as though a bid of £34m will now be enough for the club to bring him in this summer, completing a trio of excellent-looking acquisitions for the title hopefuls.
