The veteran right-back had signed a new Old Trafford deal only a few weeks ago but the arrival of England teen Luke Shaw was always likely to hasten Evra to a Man United exit and this source suggests that such a move could well lead to Louis van Gaal’s pursuit of Arturo Vidal becoming more of a reality.

This source states that a €45m (£35m) may be accepted by the Turin side and Vidal has certainly been a long term target for the Premier League side with van Gaal no doubt keen to make the 27 year old Chilean the third high-profile signing of what may well prove to be a very busy summer for the Dutch manager.

The Gazzetta outlines a number of potential target for new Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri, perhaps with the aim of using the funds from a potential Vidal sale, including the likes of Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku, PSG playmaker Javier Pastore, Man City bit-part player Stevan Jovetic and Tottenham flop Erik Lamela.

Vidal would offer Man United some much needed creativity to boost a rather brittle midfield with the likes of Micheal Carrick, Darren Fletcher, Tom Cleverley and Marouane Fellaini surely fearing for their futures under new boss van Gaal.
