Brendan Rodgers closing in on trio of signings

Liverpool are closing in on moves for three of their prime transfer targets: Loic Remy, Dejan Lovren and Divock Origi, who are all likely to sign their deals with the Anfield club this week, and join the Reds on their pre-season tour of the US.

The Guardian have revealed that French striker Remy is due to fly to Boston to undergo a medical later today, and that this is seen as a formality.

He looks likely to be joined by Lovren, who will become the third Southampton player to leave for Liverpool this summer, with the two club’s having agreed an initial fee in the region of £16m. Meanwhile, Origi has reportedly told current club Lille that he wants to leave this summer, in order to force through his dream move to Anfield.

Real Madrid wonderkid linked with Anfield move

Liverpool are also believed to be eyeing up a surprise swoop for Real Madrid starlet Isco, who only joined the club last summer from Malaga.

The Daily Star believe that the arrival of Toni Kroos at the Bernabeu, as well as the imminent signing of James Rodriguez, could leave the 22-year-old on the fringes of the first-team picture and subsequently available for transfer.

Liverpool have reportedly made an enquiry into Isco’s availability as Brendan Rodgers continues to build his Kop side ahead of their return to Champions League football.

Premier League giants unimpressed with Micah Richards asking price

Liverpool are among  several Premier League teams that have declared their interest in Manchester City outcast Micah Richards this summer – according to reports in the Daily Mirror.

However, the player’s hopes of a move rest on a loan deal, after City placed a £7m asking price on the head of the 26-year-old, once viewed as one of the brightest defensive prospects in the world.

The 13-time England international has had his career massively overshadowed by injuries in recent seasons, and has made just nine Premier League appearances in the last two seasons.

Reds make contact with PSV over highly rated winger

Reports in the Belgian press have linked Liverpool with a move for PSV Eindhoven’s impressive young winger Zakaria Bakkali.

The 18-year-old Belgian, who is often compared to his compatriot Eden Hazard, made his international debut last year, but missed out on a place in his country’s extremely competitive World Cup squad, which went onto reach the quarter-final stage of this summer’s tournament.

Back in March, Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf reported on Liverpool’s interest in him, after he grabbed the headlines for becoming the youngest ever player to score a hat-trick in the Eredivise.

Lucas on the verge of Napoli loan move

Lucas is edging closer to a loan move to Napoli, according to reports by Goal.com.

Goal claim that the two clubs have reached an agreement over the move, which will also involve a permanent transfer clause that would be triggered once the player has played a certain number of games.

The Italian club are keen to lower the potential transfer fee, with Liverpool understood to want £10 million for the 27-year-old Brazilian – who has been left on the fringes at Anfield following the arrival of Emre Can from Bayer Leverkusen.
