Tottenham will attempt to recoup the money they will spend on Swansea City duo Ben Davies and Michel Vorm by allowing Danny Rose to complete a move to Hull City – according to reports in the Daily Mirror.

New Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is well aware that transfer funds are low this summer following the £100m spending spree undertaken by previous boss Andre Villas-Boas last year, and will need to sell players in order to fund new purchases.

Despite claiming that a multitude of new signings were unlikely during this transfer window, Pochettino’s side are on the verge of completing a £15m double-swoop for left-back Davies, and goalkeeper Vorm – with former Swans loanee Gylfi Sigurdsson – valued at £10m – moving to the Liberty Stadium in part exchange.

The former Southampton boss will then look to make back the rest of his money by allowing Rose to make a £6m switch to Hull, with Steve Bruce’s side having recently revived their interest in the 24-year-old defender, who can also play on the wing.

The Tigers boss wants to take his close-season spending spree to £22m by rescuing the former England Under-21 international left-back from his White Hart Lane nightmare.

Rose, 24, has racked-up just 57 appearances for Spurs since joining from Leeds for £1m seven years ago. And the Doncaster-born defender knows he faces being out in the cold again next season if he stays with the North London giants.
