Liverpool transfer target Xherdan Shaqiri could force a move away from Bayern Munich this summer, despite the German champions insisting that the Swiss World Cup star is not for sale.

Reports in Italy claim that Juventus have received encouraging signs following their own enquiry about the player, and the news could open the door to Liverpool returning with a bid for the 22-year-old.

The Bianconeri have rekindled their interest in the Bayern Munich winger following the appointment of Massimiliano Allegri as coach and the disappointment of missing out on Alexis Sanchez to Arsenal earlier this summer.

And their first steps towards signing Shaqiri have been positive, according to Sky Italia, meaning a meeting with the player’s brother, who also acts as his main agent, is now on the cards in the coming days.

Shaqiri, who has also been linked with Roma and Monaco this summer, has bemoaned the 2013/14 campaign at the Allianz Arena, explaining he is not willing to repeat the experience, feeling he was consistently overlooked for Bayern Munich’s biggest games.

Liverpool have already signed Lazar Markovic this summer, but are believed to be in the market for another winger / creative midfielder as they look to help the void left by the £75m departure of Luis Suarez to Barcelona. Real Madrid starlet Isco is another name that has been linked.
