Arsenal Targeting 3 New Signings Worth £34m Before New Season

Ospina, Bender and Nastasic all potentially heading to the Emirates Stadium.

With Alexis Sanchez already in the bag, Arsenal appear ready to continue their summer spending spree with three new signings worth an impressive £34 million.

With BBC journalist David Ornstein tweeting about three new signings heading the way of the Emirates Stadium, following the ending of the club’s interest in Sami Khedira, it seems as though moves for this trio are edging closer ahead of the new Premier League season’s big kick off.

David Ospina (Nice)

The first of Arsene Wenger’s signings looks to be David Ospina, with reports suggesting that a £3m move for for the OGC Nice goalkeeper is moving ever closer to completion.

The Colombian enjoyed a fine World Cup on the back of an excellent season for his club in Ligue 1 and would be a fine signing for the Gunners to provide competition for first choice ‘keeper Wojciech Szczesny.

Matija Nastasic (Manchester City)

A potential Arsenal move for Manchester City centre back Matija Nastasic may have come out of left-field, but reports suggest that the Gunners are keen on a £16m transfer for the Montenegran.

Nastasic was somewhat surprisingly allowed to drift out of the Manchester City set-up last season and could be set to reignite his career with the Gunners.

Lars Bender (Bayer Leverkusen)

Having cooled their interest in Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, the Gunners could be set to move their attentions to his international teammate Lars Bender from Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen.

Reports have linked Arsene Wenger with a £15m swoop for Bender, who has emerged as one of Germany’s finest defensive midfielders in recent years with his performances at the BayArena.
