Done deal: Chelsea Ace Leaves West London For The Bundesliga

Piazon has joined Frankfurt on-loan.

Chelsea attacking midfielder Lucas Piazon has joined German club Eintracht Frankfurt on a season’s long loan deal.

This will be the third time the 20-year-old has been sent out on-loan since joining the Blues in the summer of 2012, first signing for Malaga in 2013 and then spending the 2013/14 season with Vitesse Arnhem.

Piazon is understood to have been progressing greatly away from Stamford Bridge, but clearly hasn’t done enough yet to convince manager Jose Mourinho he is ready for first team action.

To date the Brazilian has made just three senior appearances for the West Londoners and with competition so fierce at the club that doesn’t look likely to change any time soon.

Piazon becomes the fifth player to be sent out on-loan from the Bridge this summer, along with Wallace and Bertrand Traore (both with Vitesse), Thorgan Hazard (Borussia Monchengladbach) and new signing Mario Pasalic (Elche).

This term could well be the year when these endless temporary deals actually start to come to fruition for the Premier League side, with goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois expected to be the No.1 after three successful years with Atletico Madrid.

Fellow Belgian Romelu Lukaku could also be given a chance in Mourinho’s team after his loan spells with West Bromwich Albion and Everton.
