Liverpool’s Exciting Six-Man Transfer Shortlist Including Marco Reus And Arturo Vidal

The players the Reds are linked with signing this summer.

According to reports in the Mirror, despite having already signed four new players this summer Liverpool have another six on their transfer wishlist.

Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana have been signed from Southampton, Emre Can was secured from Bayer Leverkusen and most recently Lazar Markovic joined from Benfica – for a total cost of £49m.

Yet having sold Luis Suarez to FC Barcelona for a whopping £75m there is still much to spend for the Reds and manager Brendan Rodgers is understood to have his eye on these targets.

Arturo Vidal, Juventus

A huge name in world football having helped Juve to three successive Serie A titles and also impressing at the 2014 World Cup with his national team Chile.

That being said Vidal has spoken openly about his future and since Antonio Conte stepped down as manager the future of the 27-year-old has been in doubt.

Marco Reus, Borussia Dortmund

Another world-class player and someone who Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp is understandably determined to keep hold of after his brilliant previous 12 months.

Reus was the club’s standout player in 2013/14 and should have played a key part in Germany’s successful World Cup campaign had injury not struck him down just before the tournament started.

Dejan Lovren, Southampton

Despite coming extremely close to winning the Premier League title last term the main reason many said the side fell short was because of their poor defence.

The likes of Martin Skrtel, Mamadou Sakho and Daniel Agger all failed to impress at times and that is why Rodgers is preparing a third swoop at the Saints in the shape of centre-back Lovren.

Alberto Moreno, Sevilla

Left-back was also an issue for the Merseysiders in 2013/14 with Jose Enrique perennially injured and loanee Aly Cissokho failing to impress.

That is why they have turned to this 21-year-old, who’s performances in La Liga over the past 12 months earned Moreno a place in Spain’s preliminary World Cup squad.

Loic Remy, QPR

This deal is expected to be confirmed in the extremely near future with it having already been announced an £8.5m fee has been agreed with the Hoops.

The price is a relative bargain considering Remy scored 14 league goals whilst on-loan with Newcastle United last season and the Frenchman arrives with a strong reputation.

Javier Manquillo, Atletico Madrid

Finally it’s a young right-back who the club are looking to bring in on an initial loan deal with the option of making that permanent in two years time.

Manquillo is still just 20-years-old, but with concerns over the capabilities of Glen Johnson support on the right side of defence could be a good move.
