Ten South American Aces Still Set For Bumper Summer Moves, With Man United & Liverpool Targets

Which South American stars could still be on the move this summer…

Find out who are the most valuable players in world football.

Alexis Sanchez and James Rodriguez are among the South American superstars who have already earned big-money transfers so far this summer. Here are ten players who could join that list before the end of the transfer window:

Arturo Vidal (Juventus)

The 27-year-old Chilean, who has helped lead Juventus to three consecutive Serie A titles, has been linked with Manchester United throughout the summer, with the latest developments suggesting he has struck a verbal agreement over a move to Old Trafford.

Juan Cuadrado (Fiorentina)

The 26-year-old winger, who impressed for Colombia during the World Cup this summer, has been linked with a move to a host of Premier League clubs – including Manchester United and Liverpool.

Douglas Costa (Shakhtar Donetsk)

Arsenal have been linked with this 23-year-old attacking midfielder, who is looking for a move after the political unrest in Ukraine.

Marcos Rojo (Sporting Lisbon)

The 24-year-old left-back is one of the most highly rated young defenders in Europe, and has attracted interest from Liverpool among others – with the Reds desperate to sign a new full-back this summer.

Edinson Cavani (Paris Saint-Germain)

The talented Uruguayan striker is regarded as one of the best attacking players in world football. Having grown frustrated with life at PSG, he has been linked with a big-money move to Manchester United.

Angel di Maria (Real Madrid)

Both PSG and Manchester United have been linked with the Argentine winger, who is reportedly concerned over the security of his first-team place following the arrivals of James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos.

Bernard (Shakhtar Donetsk)

Another player who could be closing in on an exit from Shakhtar is the exciting young Brazilian Bernard. The 21-year-old winger has been linked with a move to Arsenal.

Pablo Armero (Udinese)

The Colombian defender was disappointing while on loan at West Ham United last season, but has attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal, as well as several other Premier League clubs, following his World Cup performances.

Jackson Martinez (Porto)

One of the best striking talents in Europe, and arguably the best playing outside of one of the continent’s major leagues, the 27-year-old Colombian has scored 46 goals in 60 league games for Porto, attracting interest from the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.

Ezequiel Lavezzi (Paris Saint-Germain)

Liverpool are the latest team to be linked with the 29-year-old Argentine winger, who like Cavani has grown frustrated with his lack of opportunities in the PSG first-team.
