The scorer of the winning goal in this summer’s World Cup final (albeit with his left foot), Mario Goetze could now be ready to really establish himself as one of the world’s best talents. The German playmaker is a superbly talented youngster, and will be hoping to take confidence from his international performances and reach his best form for Bayern Munich next term.
9) Thomas Mueller (Bayern Munich)
A superbly prolific goalscorer, Bayern Munich and Germany star Thomas Mueller confirmed his status as a world class star with his performances at the World Cup this summer. The 24-year-old scored five goals in Brazil, and although he may not be a great entertainer in the same bracket as the likes of Gareth Bale and Arjen Robben, the absence of left footers from this list makes him one of the top ten best in the world.
8) Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)
Although very capable with either foot, Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is a deadly finisher on his stronger side especially, and has hit some great efforts from outside the box despite being more well known as a penalty area poacher. The stylish Swede is one of the great entertainers in the game today, and his performances have helped lift Paris Saint-Germain to a new level since he joined the club from AC Milan in 2012. The tag ‘world class’ may be thrown around a little too easily these days, but Ibrahimovic is truly in the top five in the world at the moment, and makes the top three on this right-footers-only list.

Capable of doing brilliant things from almost any angle or distance, the prolific striker has a great right foot and will surely continue to enhance his reputation at the Nou Camp.

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is a deserving first place on this right-footers list, with his favoured boot certainly providing us with some of the best long-range goals ever seen in recent times. Although the old cliche goes that left-footed players are the ones that possess those sledgehammer shots, Ronaldo’s ability from range on his right side is certainly comparible and among the best seen in the game’s recent history.
