The players that will be missed in the English top tier.
Although many top-class players have joined the Premier League this summer, including Cesc Fabregas and Alexis Sanchez, there have also been some significant losses ahead of the 2014/15 season.
Here are the top 10:
10. Divock Origi, Liverpool
A bit of a left-field choice as the 19-year-old is yet to play in England after completing a £10m move from Lille and then heading straight back there on-loan, but for his performances at the 2014 World Cup we wish the teenager was staying.
9. Gary Medel, Cardiff City
Although not sold (yet) this Chile international won’t be showing off his terrier-like style in English football anymore after being relegated with the Bluebirds and being heavily linked with a move abroad.
8. Throgan Hazard, Chelsea
The younger brother of the Blues’ more famous Hazard, Eden, this 21-year-old was named Player of the Year in the Belgian league in 2013/14 for his performances with Zulte Waregem, but has been sent out on-loan again this year – this time to Borussia Monchengladbach.
7. Michu, Swansea City
Bursting onto the scene two years ago this Spaniard was labeled bargain of the season after scoring 22 goals in his first campaign, but last term was interrupted by injury and the 28-year-old has been sent on-loan to Napoli.
6. Frank Lampard, Chelsea
Although now 36-years-old the midfielder still has much to offer and is a true legend of the league for his performances over the past 13 years with the West Londoners, but is now in the USA with New York City FC.
5. Patrice Evra, Manchester United
It seems as if new United manager Louis van Gaal wanted to keep this veteran Frenchman as guidance for new signing Luke Shaw, but the left-back instead opted to leave for Serie A champions Juventus.
4. Ashley Cole, Chelsea
Another full-back who has departed for Italy, with the former Arsenal and Blues star deciding to join AS Roma after a period of success in England that saw Cole win three Premier League titles and a record seven FA Cups.
3. Nemanja Vidic, Manchester United
Many still thought the Red Devils captain could offer something, but the hierarchy at Old Trafford disagreed and Vidic was allowed to run his contract down and join Inter Milan on a free transfer.
2. David Luiz, Chelsea
Billed as one of the best ever deals for the West London club after getting £40m for the failed 2014 World Cup star, but there is still no denying that the new Paris Saint-Germain defender has talent.
1. Luis Suarez, Liverpool
Voted as the PFA Player of the Year in 2014, for the second summer running the best player in England has been poached by a La Liga side with FC Barcelona signing Suarez in a club record £75m deal.
