Attack:
In a three-man attack, it is likely that Sergio Aguero will eventually establish himself as first choice if he can get over his repeated injury problems. The likes of Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic will provide good competition for places in that role and possibly start more at the beginning of the season with Alvaro Negredo also set for a lengthy spell out of action. Out wide, one would expect Samir Nasri and David Silva to continue as first choice in those roles, with the option of Jesus Navas also a good one for Pellegrini in some games.
