The midfielder will not be leaving Juventus.
Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal appears to finally have ended speculation linking him with a move to either Manchester United or Real Madrid with his latest Instagram post.
The post was accompanied with the captain; “I’m happy to stay here!”
This comes after newly appointed Juve head coach Massimiliano Allegri stated that Vidal would not be leaving Turin this summer despite constant links with a transfer away.
“Vidal will stay here and he’s very happy about this. I spoke with him about his fitness, we’re happy he will stay with us,” Allegri was quoted by the Daily Mail.
The Red Devils have been strongly linked with the Chile international as they look to improve their squad following their worst ever Premier League season in 2013/14.
Having already purchased Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw this summer it was thought United would plunge deep once more to sign Vidal as well.
Yet their lack of Champions League football for the coming campaign was thought to be an issue, whilst Madrid also kept a keen eye on developments.
However, having already signed Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez in the past few weeks it was always unlikely Los Blancos would bid for the 27-year-old as well.
This latest social media post from Vidal will come as a disappointment to United fans, although having won all five of their pre-season matches thus far life under new manager Louis van Gaal is looking pretty good regardless.
