Top 10 Footballers Who Look Unhappy At Their Official Signing Including Former Arsenal And Manchester United Stars

Not everyone is always happy upon completing their transfer.

We all know the picture, a footballer completes a surprise move to a less than glamourous club and stands at their official unveiling not even trying to force a smile.

This was the case for Arsenal right-back Carl Jenkinson recently, who upon completing his loan switch to West Ham United did admittedly try and smile – although it looked more like a grimace.

So here are the 10 players who aren’t happy with their transfer, including Jenkinson.

Carl Jenkinson – Arsenal to West Ham United

Jordi Cruyff – FC Barcelona to Manchester United

His dad may have been considered one of the greatest of all time, but Cruyff junior was less successful and looks somewhat confused in this picture after leaving the Nou Camp.

Jaap Stam – Manchester United to Lazio

A departure from Old Trafford now as after some choice comments in his book, Sir Alex Ferguson suddenly axed the Dutchman in 2001 and in Rome the defender looked less than amused.

Robinho – Real Madrid to Manchester City

Before becoming an established Champions League club, in 2008 Robinho signed for a manager he’d never heard of at a club he had never heard of. It showed.

Fabio – Manchester United to QPR

It was only a loan deal, but the Brazilian has clearly been to the Jenkinson school of smiling.

Bradley Orr – Blackburn Rovers to Blackpool

Orr made his loan move to the Tangerines before they lost all their players as well, although it doesn’t show looking at his face.

Emmanuel Frimpong – Arsenal to Barnsley

Despite never playing Frimpong was living the dream at the Emirates Stadium, constantly playing on social media and teaming up with cousin and Hip Hop artist Lethal Bizzle.

Then he was sold to Barnsley. Oh dear.

Nicolas Anelka – Juventus to West Bromwich Albion

So disgusted was Anelka at having signed for the Baggies he barely looks like he wants to hold the shirt. The Frenchman lasted less than a year at the Hawthorns.

David Goodwillie – Blackburn Rovers to Aberdeen

Even Scotland international Goodwillie knows the SPL is rubbish.

Shaquille Coulthirst – Tottenham Hotspur to Southend United

Great name, but he clearly isn’t a fan of the Essex coast.

Julian Faubert – West Ham United to Real Madrid

Finally, whilst Faubert actually can’t believe his luck at signing at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, Madrid legend Alfredo di Stefano sums everything up with one look.
