Tottenham Actively Looking for Buyers as Five Head for White Hart Lane Exit

North London side look to offload deadwood.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino will look to trim his expansive squad ahead of further moves in the summer transfer market and according to the Daily Telegraph the Argentine has already earmarked five such players he is prepared to cash-in on.

The White Hart Lane manager has already successfully acquired Swansea City pair Michel Vorm and Ben Davies as well as Sporting Lisbon youngster Eric Dier, with Icelandic international Gylfi Sigurdsson moving to the Liberty Stadium.

The north London side have secured £12m from further sales of Jake Livermore and Iago Falque to Hull City and Genoa but it’s evident others will be heading for the exit.

Moussa Dembele

The Belgian international powerhouse is one of a number of midfielders Pochettino is ready to offload and may be a player who’s sale could garner a decent sum.

Tottenham signed the 27 year old from Fulham in August 2012 in a £15m deal and one would imagine chairman Daniel Levy would demand a fee of at least £10m for the rangy midfielder.

Micheal Dawson

The club captain appears set to leave Tottenham after ten seasons at the club and it’s fair to say that the former Nottingham Forest is not the same player who earned a spot in Fabio Capello’s England squad for the 2010 World Cup finals.

Perhaps Pochettino will be willing to accept a lesser fee so as to force through a deal as a mark of gratitude for the player’s lengthy service.

Sandro

The Brazilian has had an up and down time of it since moving to Tottenham back in 2010 and has also struggled for form and fitness.

On his day the 25 year old is a top quality player but consistency is an issue and far too often the box to box performer was found wanting in recent campaigns.

Etienne Capoue

The French international only moved to White Hart Lane last summer but looked at times out of his depth and made just eight Premier League starts last season.

A swift exit, perhaps back to Ligue 1, appears on the cards for the 26 year old.

Nacer Chadli

Belgian winger failed to inspire all that much confidence last term, the 25 year old securing just one goal in 24 Premier League appearances.

The former FC Twente man’s saving grace could be the fact that the likes of Aaron Lennon and Andros Townsend also failed to deliver in 2013/14 and a lot could well depend on whether Mauricio Pochettino offers his fellow Argentine Erik Lamela a decent chance to make up for his shocking campaign the former AS Roma man put in his debut campaign.
