Bernabeu side to complete second Stade Louis II raid.
Real Madrid are apparently destined to sign AS Monaco forward Radamel Falcao this summer despite the apparent advances of Premier League side Liverpool according to The Times.
The Ligue 1 side are ready to offload the 28 year old Colombian in order to have a better chance of successfully adhering to UEFA’s FFP (Financial Fair Play) guidelines and by all accounts Falcao will move to the Bernabeu side on an initial loan deal that will cost the La Liga side £12m.
Real Madrid will meet Falcao’s £10m a year salary expectations and he will presumably battle Karim Benzema for the starting central striking berth.
Falcao spent two seasons in the Spanish capital with Atletico Madrid, scoring 70 goals, before moving to AS Monaco last summer and has now fully recovered from the knee injury that ruled him out of half of the Ligue 1 campaign as well as the World Cup finals.
The La Liga side already successfully acquired Falcao’s former club colleague James Rodriguez, bringing in the young attacker following his excellent showing at the World Cup finals.
