10) Eliaquim Mangala (Porto to Manchester City)

Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester City all summer long, and it is finally being reported that the move is nearing completion, with his arrival set to be confirmed within the next 48 hours. The Frenchman looks a superb signing for City, and should join in a big-money £32m move, having previously been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Barcelona.

9) Raphael Varane (Real Madrid to Chelsea)

One of Jose Mourinho’s favourite players, it is now being claimed by some sources that Chelsea will look to capitalise on Real Madrid’s interest in Petr Cech by demanding Raphael Varane as part of the deal. The French youngster was handed his Bernabeu debut by Mourinho during his time in charge at the club, and it would be no surprise if the two were to work together again. With Cech keen to leave after looking like becoming second choice to Thibaut Courtois in goal, this one may be all set to go through in the next few days.

8) Thomas Vermaelen (Arsenal to Manchester United)

Despite interest from Barcelona, it has been strongly suggested by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger that there may be little he can do to prevent Thomas Vermaelen from leaving to join rivals Manchester United. The Red Devils are in need of new signings at the back, and the Belgian international is seemingly Louis van Gaal’s preferred option in that position, with his experience and proven quality at the top level, despite recently falling out of faovur at the Emirates Stadium.

7) Daniel Agger (Liverpool to Arsenal)

If Vermaelen is to leave Arsenal, it seems likely that there may be something to the rumours of Liverpool defender Daniel Agger replacing him in north London. The Danish international is widely expected to be keen on leaving Anfield this summer after holding talks with Brendan Rodgers, and it may be thaty he will be allowed to make the move to the Gunners and provide them with extra depth at the back.

6) Radamel Falcao (AS Monaco to Manchester City)

Widely believed to be a loan target for Real Madrid, it is now also being claimed that Manchester City could hijack a deal for AS Monaco striker Radamel Falcao. The Colombian international would no doubt be a superb addition upfront for City, and his arrival would make sense with fitness doubts over the likes of Sergio Aguero and Alvaro Negredo, while Stevan Jovetic continues to be linked with a move away from the club back to Serie A.5) Mateo Musacchio (Villarreal to Tottenham Hotspur)

A top target for Tottenham Hotspur, it looks increasingly likely that a £17m deal for Villarreal centre-back Mateo Musacchio will go through in the next day or so. The 23-year-old is a top talent and has been one of La Liga’s most sought-after defenders this summer, attracting interest from both Barcelona and champions Atletico Madrid in this transfer window. If he does move to White Hart Lane, he will go down as a very exciting signing indeed by new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

4) Memphis Depay (PSV to Tottenham Hotspur)

In what could be a superb double purchase, it is also looking likely that Tottenham will land exciting Dutch youngster Memphis Depay to add to their attacking options. The 20-year-old PSV wide-man excelled for the Netherlands at this summer’s World Cup, and would make a top class addition on the flanks for Spurs, who could do with some new blood in that part of the pitch. Along with Mateo Musacchio, Depay would give Spurs’ squad a vastly improved look as the new season approaches.

3) Juan Cuadrado (Fiorentina to Manchester United)

Reports in the last few days suggest that Manchester United may now be the favourites to beat Barcelona to the signing of Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado. The Colombian international, valued at around £30m, was superb in Serie A last term and with his national side at this summer’s World Cup, and looks the ideal signing to come in and play that right-wing-back role in Louis van Gaal’s new-look 3-5-2 formation, with his superb energy and qualities in both defence and attack.

2) Sami Khedira (Real Madrid to Arsenal)

Although this transfer saga has dragged on for much of the summer so far, there may be some progress being made in Arsenal’s quest to land Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira. Although the Gunners have previously agreed on everything but wages with the German World Cup winner, it has now emerged that his club are keen to offload him now to avoid the risk of losing him for free in the summer, which may result in him moving for a lower transfer fee and his wage demands therefore being less of a problem to the north London giants. Chelsea are interested too, but Arsenal look strong favourites to sign the 27-year-old and it may not be long before he is confirmed as a new signing at the Emirates Stadium.

1) Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund to Arsenal)

In what would be another sensational signing for Arsenal, Marco Reus is now being tipped by some to be heading out of Borussia Dortmund, with the Gunners leading the chase for his signature. The German international is one of the best attacking players in the world and would form a world class attack alongside fellow new signing Alexis Sanchez and last summer’s major arrival Mesut Ozil. Reus is known to have a release clause in his contract and Arsenal now have the money to spend to make this move happen, so this may be one we’ll be hearing more about in the very near future.
