(Video Highlights) MLS All-Stars Down Bundesliga Champions Bayern Munich In Bad Tempered Friendly

MLS all-stars defeat visiting German giants.

The MLS All-Stars gave American soccer fans something to cheer about on Wednesday night as the collective side defeated Bayern Munich by a scoreline of 2-1.

Bayern took the lead early on in the first half through new boy Robert Lewandowski’s wonder strike, but that was as good as it would get for a second string side struggling to come to terms with the astro turf in Portland.

However, their lead lasted just five minutes into the second half as former Southampton striker Bradley Wright-Philips latched on to a deep ball from defender Bobby Boswell to thunder the ball past the hapless Tom Starke.

And the man of the hour, Major League Soccer’s greatest ever product, Landon Donovan, got the last laugh as he netter the winner against his former club to secure the victory.
