Liverpool to miss out on Falcao

The Reds are set to miss out on signing Monaco striker Radamel Falcao after it emerged that he will link up with compatriot James Rodriguez at Real Madrid, according to the Daily Star.

Liverpool had been favourites to land the Colombian international but the 28-year-old has reportedly told Monaco that he will only leave if Real Madrid come calling.

Rodgers to turn to Cavani

After missing out on Falcao, Reds boss Brendan Rodgers will turn his attentions towards Paris Saint Germain striker Edinson Cavani instead, the Liverpool Echo reports.
