Serie A star edging closer to Old Trafford switch.Manchester United are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado in a deal worth potentially £35m, according to Marca.
The Colombian international has been one of the most impressive attacking midfield players in Europe for some time now, with some eye-catching displays in Serie A last season and then at the World Cup this summer with his national side.
The 26-year-old looks like he would make a superb addition for Louis van Gaal’s side, joining the likes of Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera as the club’s exciting new signings this summer.
It is being reported now that Cuadrado’s agent will fly to Manchester this weekend to conclude talks over a move, which is now expected to go through, despite previous interest in the South American star from La Liga giants Barcelona.
The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool have also been linked with Cuadrado at points this summer, and he will represent a major coup for the Red Devils if they can bring him in, as they look to give themselves a chance of breaking back into the top four after last season’s disastrous campaign under David Moyes.
