Ten Young Talents That Will Set the Premier League Alight in 2014/15 Including Arsenal New Boy & Liverpool Wonderkids

A collection of youngsters who will have Premier League audiences purring in the forthcoming campaign.

Calum Chambers (Arsenal)

The young defender looked accomplished on his senior bow in the Community Shield and Arsene Wenger may well be ready to use the former Southampton man in a relatively prominent role, not least as the 19 year old displays maturity beyond his years but also because he can fill in effectively in a number of roles.

James Ward-Prowse (Southampton)

The cultured midfielder has shown glimpses of true class when called upon in previous campaigners and the departure of a number of top Saints talent could well work in his favour. Expect the 19 year old to step-up and prove himself to be priceless, until next summer when the St Mary’s side are forced to sell him….

Lucas Piazon (Chelsea)

This one may be touch and go. The Brazilian is well ready to make a real impact in the Blues first team but a lot depends on how willing Jose Mourinho is to offer him the opportunity. Piazon’s one Premier League appearance came back in December 2012 and the playmaker had a superb season at Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem last season and has the potential to impress if given the chance to do so.

Lazar Markovic (Liverpool)

Whilst Brendan Rodgers opted to send summer signing Divock Origi straight back to Lille for the coming campaign it appears that the Northern Irish manager’s decision to not do likewise with Serbian winger Markovic is a sign that the 20 year old will get a look-in this term. Markovic played a telling cameo role in Benfica’s Primeira Liga title triumph last season and is a player who is capable of frightening the life out of Premier League defences.

Romelu Lukaku (Everton)

Having not received the backing of Jose Mourinho, or the chance to show what he is capable of, Romelu Lukaku must be happy to have been the recipient of the massive £28m bid Everton successfully pulled off. Roberto Martinez has made it clear just how highly he rates the Belgian and having struck 15 Premier League goals in 2013/14 we’d expect the 21 year old to manage a higher tally in 2014/15.

Ben Davies (Tottenham)

The 21 year old Welshman has been consistency personified over the past two seasons and has now earned the right to secure a ‘step-up’ and is sure to be a regular under Mauricio Pochettino, helping to resolve a well known ‘problem’ area for the north London club.

Adnan Januzaj (Man United)

This season promises to be a turning point for the young Belgian. The 19 year old put in a run of cameo displays last term, a rare breath of fresh air during a horrific campaign under David Moyes, and with a World Cup under his belt the future looks very bright for the teenager and Louis van Gaal may well afford the youngster the chance to make his mark in 2014/15.

Thibaut Courtois (Chelsea)

Finally set for a Chelsea bow after three amazingly successful seasons on loan at Atletico Madrid and Jose Mourinho will look to the Belgian to take over from hugely consistent Blues regular Petr Cech with ease. Courtois is already a household name, with La Liga, Europa League and Copa del Rey triumphs to his name, yet at 22 the custodian is still a baby in goalkeeping terms.

Tom Ince (Hull City)

The former Liverpool man had offers from ‘bigger’ clubs, including Serie A giants Inter Milan, but having spent time on the bench at Anfield was more concerned with securing regular first team action at this stage of his career than making a high-profile move. Expect the former England Under 21 man to be a huge success at the KC Stadium.

Raheem Sterling (Liverpool)

This is set to be the attacker’s fourth season in the Anfield first team but amazingly the England man is yet to turn 20. Last season Sterling was a far more effective threat than previous campaigns, netting ten goals in all competitions, and proving a real nuisance for top defence’s up and down the country. The 19 year old even managed to effortlessly operate in a more central role at times but is certainly more of an imposing presence when bombing on down the flank.
