The 24-year-old has been a largely peripheral figure at the club since making his debut for the side back in 2008 thanks to a number of injuries ruling him out of the side for long periods.

In six seasons at the club he has made just 62 appearances, with most coming in cup and European competitions, and save for a short spell on loan at Huddersfield during his debut campaign he has seen relatively little action.

However, Palace are more than happy to take him off their hands and the one-cap England international confirmed that he would be making the move south on Twitter.

Though neither club has confirmed the deal, it is thought that Kelly is costing the Londoners around £1.5m and could go straight into the side to face Arsenal.
