Atletico in positive talks for German international.Liverpool and a host of other Premier League clubs look set to be disappointed as Atletico Madrid make significant progress over the potential signing of Marco Reus from Borussia Dortmund, according to Cadena Cope.
The German international has recently emerged as a top target for Liverpool after also attracting interest from the likes of Arsenal in the past, but it now looks as though he could make the switch to La Liga in a deal worth £21m, which would surely go down as one of the bargains of the summer.
The Spanish champions have plenty to spend after seeing star players Diego Costa and Filipe Luis leave, which would allow them to complete this highly ambitious deal to strengthen their squad for the new La Liga season.
Reus, who scored 23 goals last season, has been a star of the Bundesliga in recent years and was a big miss for Germany at this summer’s World Cup through injury, and could form an exciting new-look attack for Diego Simeone’s side, alongside fellow new signings Mario Mandzukic and Antoine Griezmann.
The player is supposedly keen on making the move to Atletico, and a fee of £21m has been agreed between the two clubs.
