Rio Ferdinand (Queens Park Rangers)
Queens Park Rangers’ return to the Premier League, coupled with former Manchester United and England defender Rio Ferdinand’s debut for the club, didn’t go to plan as Harry Redknapp’s side were beaten 1-0 by a well organised Hull City outfit. Ferdinand never looked up to pace with the match and was caught out by James Chester for the winning goal, with Ferdinand’s former teammate escaping his attentions at a set piece. Ferdinand also had one of Rangers’ best chances to equalise, but wasted the opportunity at the far post with a poor first touch.
