Liverpool And Chelsea Stars Named In New Look Brazilian Squad

Dunga’s first Brazil squad features four representatives from Stamford Bridge alongside a well-earned call-up for Anfield star.

New Brazil manager Dunga has named his first squad of his second spell as Selecao manager, with plenty of bold selections and omissions.

QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar, FC Barcelona right back Dani Alves, Real Madrid’s Marcelo and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Paulinho are amongst the big names to have been cast aside, while Thiago Silva misses out through injury.

In their places, there are call-ups for some exciting new Brazilian talents as Dunga ushers in a new era.

Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho earns a recall after some scintillating club form in pre-season, and is joined by PSG teenager Marquinhos, Diego Tardelli of Atletico Mineiro and Chelsea’s Filipe Luis.
