Real boss admits he doesn’t know if winger will stay.Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti admits that he does not know what will happen with Angel Di Maria amid rumours of interest from Manchester United, the Daily Telegraph reports.
The Argentine winger has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu for much of this summer’s transfer window, with the arrival of £63m man James Rodriguez looking like pushing him out of the exit door.
Still, the 26-year-old was one of the club’s top performers last season and has as such attracted a great deal of interest from big clubs this summer, with Paris Saint-Germain preivously linked as the strongest contenders to snap him up.
However, United now look to be leading the chase for his signature as the transfer window draws to a close, with Ancelotti admitting for the first time that Di Maria could be sold, having previously insisted that he was in his plans.
“I don’t know what Di Maria has decided,” the Italian explained.
“But I know that he’s training and that he could help us in tomorrow’s match. Until August 31 it will continue the same way and after that everything will be cleared up and things will return to normal.”
This could mean that a move to Old Trafford is on the cards, with speculation hotting up today that the Red Devils are readying a £100m transfer package to add him to their squad, with £50m set to go on his wageds and the other half as his transfer fee overall.
