Manchester United Rumour Roundup: Marco Reus Snubbed The Red Devils, Angel Di Maria Going Nowhere And New £16m Signing Looks Delighted

Wednesday’s biggest stories from Old Trafford.

Marouane Fellaini’s transfer from Manchester United delayed by injury

The £27.5m midfielder was hopeful of leaving Old Trafford this summer, but that desire has been rocked as the midfielder is pictured on crutches.

Napoli were favourites to sign Fellaini with a season-loan loan deal having been agreed between the two clubs, but the Sun says that now looks unlikely to be completed.

The 26-year-old arrived from Everton on transfer deadline day almost 12 months ago, but has since struggled to warrant his hefty price-tag.

Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus turned down the Red Devils

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has revealed that Reus turned down a lucrative offer from United this summer.

The Germany international has been strongly linked with a move away from the Signal Iduna Park, with Arsenal, Bayern Munich, FC Barcelona and Liverpool also thought to be interested.

“He had an offer for a lot of money from Manchester United and he has not gone,” Cerezo was quoted by the Daily Mail.

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti reiterates that Angel di Maria is not for sale

Despite being strongly linked with the 13-time Premier League champions Ancelotti has once again declared di Maria is not for sale.

The future of the Argentina international at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu has been cast into doubt by the arrival of Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez this summer.

“I will say it again, di Maria is a Madrid player,” Ancelotti was quoted by AS.

Marcos Rojo flies to Manchester after a £16m deal was agreed

The Red Devils are on the verge of completing their third major signing of the summer in the shape of Sporting Lisbon defender Rojo.

It was announced on Tuesday that a fee for the 24-year-old had been agreed – believed to be around £16m – with Nani going the other way on-loan.

Rojo looks delighted to be joining Louis van Gaal’s men.

Expected new Crystal Palace manager Malky Mackay wants Wilfried Zaha as his first signing

Van Gaal could be set to offload another of his unwanted players with Zaha targeted by his former club Palace.

The Eagles are on the verge of appointing former Cardiff City boss Mackay and the Scot sees the 21-year-old as the ideal acquisition, according to the Daily Star.

Zaha has struggled to make his mark at United since becoming Sir Alex Ferguson’s last ever signing in January 2013.
