There is less than a fortnight to go before this summer’s transfer window slams shut. Here are ten deals we think could still occur before time runs out:

10) Petr Cech (Chelsea)

The long-serving Chelsea goalkeeper is keen on an exit from Stamford Bridge this summer, if he can find a high ranking club that will promise him first-team football. His decision follows Thibaut Courtois being selected ahead of him for the Blues’ Premier League opener with Burnley on Monday. The Guardian spoke in detail about the situation.

9) Matija Nastasic (Manchester City)

The Manchester City centre-back has been deemed surplus to requirements by manager Manuel Pellegrini, following the arrival of Eliaquim Mangala from Porto. The 21-year-old Serbian favours a move to Italy, according to reports in the Daily Mail, with either Roma or Juventus set to beat Arsenal to the player’s signature.

8) Radamel Falcao (AS Monaco)

The Guardian believe that Liverpool are closing in on the AS Monaco striker, as Brendan Rodgers’ search for a world class striker, capable of replacing Luis Suarez, continues. Real Madrid are also interested in the Colombian, but the French side are determined to keep hold of their prize asset.

7) Mehdi Benatia (Roma)

The Moroccan international is closing in on a move to German champions Bayern Munich, who have been priced out of a move for Atletico Madrid star Diego Godin. Sky Sports reported the story, with Munich set to beat Manchester United and Chelsea to the player’s signature.

6) Wilfried Zaha (Manchester United)

Louis van Gaal has made it clear that the player does not have a future at Old Trafford, and the player is desperate to secure a loan move that would afford him a chance at first-team football. A return to former club Crystal Palace is a strong possibility, but the London club need a new manager first – as reported by the Daily Star.

5) Mattia Destro (Roma)

Tottenham have shown an interest in the striker, according to the Daily Mirror, has new Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino looks to add to his squad before the end of the transfer window. Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic is a potential replacement for Roma, who will spend any incoming money on new signings.

4) Juan Cuadrado (Fiorentina)

The Daily Star believes that Barcelona are set for a spending splurge after learning that they will not be permitted to sign players during the next two transfer windows. Their list of targets is headed by Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado, who has also attracted interest from Manchester United this summer.

3) Angel Di Maria (Real Madrid)

The rumours linking Angel Di Maria with a move away from Real Madrid this summer refuse to vanish, and the Daily Mail believes that Manchester United are willing to spend big to push through a move for the Argentine World Cup winger, with a deal worth around £50m and £200,000-per-week.

2) William Carvalho (Sporting Lisbon)

Chelsea have edged ahead of Arsenal in the race for Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho, and are reportedly readying a £35m offer. The Daily Mirror carries the story from Portuguese newspaper Abola, in which it is seemingly revealed that it is the Stamford Bridge side who are the new favourites to land the Portuguese holding player.

1) Mario Balotelli (AC Milan)

Several sources, including the Daily Express, reported news of the Reds making a £17.5m offer for the former Manchester City forward, as manager Brendan Rodgers continues his hunt for a world class centre forward to replace the departed Luis Suarez. The 24-year-old scored 18 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions last season, as Milan finished a disappointing eighth in Serie A.
