The Premier League enters it’s second week of fixtures and there are a number of teams looking to build on good form, whilst others will want to prove themselves.

This summer has already been the most expensive in the league’s history in terms of new signings and here are 10 who could well impress over the coming days.

10. Bacary Sagna, Manchester City

Is still yet to make his debut for the Citizens after joining on a free transfer from Arsenal and as good as Gael Clichy was against Newcastle United at right-back last Sunday, Sagna will surely get the nod in his new side’s important clash with Liverpool.

9. Lukasz Fabianski, Swansea City

After seven years of essentially bench-warming at the Emirates Stadium this goalkeeper decided to seek out regular first team action this summer and has found just that with the Swans and Fabianski played his part in last weekend’s shock win over Manchester United at Old Trafford and will want to help keep that form up against Burnley.

8. Mathieu Debuchy, Arsenal

It’s the man who replaced Sagna at the Gunners now and someone who has proven in his brief showings for the North Londoners that he could well be just the answer, although facing Roberto Martinez’s Everton will be his sternest test to date.

7. Alberto Moreno, Liverpool

Having finally completed a £12m switch from Sevilla this left-back could well be asked to come and fill in at the back straight away and give Brendan Rodgers the chance to drop the increasingly unreliable Glen Johnson.

6. Dusan Tadic, Southampton

Was one of the imports drafted to help cushion the blow of the St Mary’s exodus this summer and although was quiet against the Reds on Sunday, has a chance to show exactly what he can do when the Saints take on West Bromwich Albion.

5. Diego Costa, Chelsea

There were a few raised eyebrows when the Blues were moved to pay £32m to Atletico Madrid for this striker, despite the fact he had scored 36 goals for the Spanish champions last term, but Costa silenced many of those critics with an opening day strike against the Clarets and will look to build on that against Leicester City.

4. Jack Rodwell, Sunderland

This midfielder finally ended his Etihad Stadium nightmare when the Black Cats paid £10m to sign him and although he only played 45 minutes in the 2-2 draw against the Baggies, Rodwell showed he could well be worth the money and will now look to pour more misery on the Red Devils.

3. Bojan Krkic, Stoke City

After an impressive pre-season following his somewhat surprise move from FC Barcelona the forward was quiet during the opener with Aston Villa and now up against Hull City will have a chance to show just what he is capable of.

2. Romelu Lukaku, Everton

Having scoring 15 league goals on-loan with the Toffees in 2013/14 the Merseyside outfit were moved to pay a club record £28m for this 21-year-old, who will be looking to make his first appearance since that permanent switch against Arsene Wenger’s side at Goodison Park.

1. Cesc Fabregas, Chelsea

Just one appearance into his return to English football following a three year spell with Barcelona and critics are falling over themselves to praise this 27-year-old, but guess what, they’re right and Fabregas looks to be the missing link in Jose Mourinho’s success story.
