Louis van Gaal will allow an unwanted trio of English stars – Danny Welbeck, Tom Cleverley and Wilfried Zaha to leave the club on loan before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
The Daily Mirror are claiming new boss Louis van Gaal wants the English trio to get some much-needed Premier League experience before he makes a long-term decision.
The source explains news of the decision flashed round the Premier League grapevine yesterday as interested clubs formed a queue for striker Welbeck, midfielder Cleverley and winger Zaha.
United Closing In On Di Maria Move
Reports in the Daily Express suggest that United are finally ready to make their move for Real Madrid’s Argentine winger Angel Di Maria, and will make a £56m bid in the coming days.
It’s claimed that the Agentine will be offered a big-money four-year deal to swap the Bernabeu for Old Trafford, with Louis van Gaal keen on adding his energy to midfield.
Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked, but Laurent Blanc has declared that the French champions may be unable to move for the former Benfica man because of Financial Fair Play.
Reds Miss Out On Depay
Manchester United have missed out on the signing of Dutch international Memphis Depay, who has elected to sign a new contract with current club PSV Eindhoven.
The Daily Mail explain that the 20-year-old, who has also been linked with Tottenham, has extended his deal with the Eredivisie club until 2018.
Rojo Must Control Temper
Louis van Gaal has urged his new signing – £16m former Sportling Lisbon defender Marcos Rojo – to control his fiery temper.
Reports in the Daily Mirror have revealed that Argentine defender has earned himself a reputation as a hot-head and picked up four red cards during his two-year stint in Portuguese football.
And United boss van Gaal has warned the left-sided defender he must improve his disciplinary record if he is to be a success in the Premier League.
Sporting Lisbon To Complete Anderson Deal
Sporting Lisbon are set to step up their attempts to sign Manchester United outcast Anderson – in a deal originally reported by the Daily Mail.
The 26-year-old has fallen well down the pecking order at Old Trafford in recent years, and his £20million move of seven years ago has petered out.
A loan move to Fiorentina in January came to nothing more than seven appearances and now Sporting could look to take him back to Portugal, where he used to play for FC Porto.
