Tottenham Hotspur’s solid start to the 2014/15 Premier League season continued as they beat newly promoted QPR 4-0 at White Hart Lane in their latest victory.

It remains a 100% record for new manager Mauricio Pochettino in the English top tier with Spurs and the North London outfit are also yet to concede a goal.

Here’s how the Tottenham stars rated.

GK – Hugo Lloris – 6

Had very little to do as the Hoops looked impotent in attack, but another clean-sheet will be welcomed and the France captain looked typically assured from crosses and set pieces.

RB – Eric Dier – 8

What a start it has been at Spurs for this defender following a £4m move from Sporting Lisbon, with the 20-year-old looking solid at the back and also scoring for the second game running.

CB – Younes Kaboul – 6

The Frenchman could be the weak link in defence as although the North Londoners were rarely troubled, Kaboul looked shaky when up against Loic Remy and Matt Phillips.

CB – Jan Vertonghen – 7

After a somewhat disappointing previous 12 months and links with a move away, the Belgium international looks back to his best and showed quality at the back and when in possession.

LB – Danny Rose – 8

The left-back continues to keep new signing Ben Davies out of the team and with displays like this that doesn’t look set to change anytime soon with Rose confidence in both defence and attack.

CM – Etienne Capoue – 7

After a £9m switch from Toulouse last summer the France international struggled to establish himself at the Lane, but against Harry Redknapp’s side Capoue was a dominant figure in defensive midfield.

CM – Nabil Bentaleb – 6

Was given a chance under previous boss Tim Sherwood and Pochettino has continued to show confidence in the 19-year-old, who battled well in the middle once again.

RM – Erik Lamela – 8

As hoped the arrival of his fellow Argentine as manager has reinvigorated this club record signing and he produced two assists in this game and was unlucky not to score himself

CAM – Christian Eriksen – 6

Back in his preferred role behind the striker and showed class on the ball and also his ability from free-kicks with one that rattled the crossbar.

LM – Nacer Chadli – 8

Yet another who was criticised after signing for the Lilywhites last summer and yet today looked utterly at ease, scoring two goals in brilliant fashion and having a fantastic game throughout.

ST – Emmanuel Adebayor – 8

This was the Adebayor of old as the striker that is often said to be lazy was full of running in this clash, setting up Chadli for the first with a low cross and bagging the fourth himself.

Substitutions:

Moussa Dembele – 6

Came on for Bentaleb with around 30 minutes remaining and although looked a little rusty, showed his class often enough to prove to Pochettino he will be key figure.

Harry Kane – 5

The youngster replaced Chadli but by then the damage had already been done and the forward was a little lost in attack.

Roberto Soldado – 5

Came on for Adebayor late on and offered little, with the Spaniard one of the few signings from last term that doesn’t look to be improving under the new boss.

Manager, Mauricio Pochettino – 9

Has introduced his aesthetically pleasing attacking style seamlessly to his new team and although West Ham United and the Rs are not the toughest opposition, things have certainly started positively.
