Liverpool Plan Late Summer Exodus: Five Stars Who Could Be Shipped Out This Week

Reds set for imminent mass clear out…

Liverpool have already signed ten players this summer, and these five are likely to be heading the other way before the window closes on September 2nd.

Lucas

The Brazilian anchorman has been a loyal servant to Liverpool, but with the likes of Emre Can and Joe Allen now ahead of him in the pecking order, and Steven Gerrard preferred in a deeper role anyway, Lucas is surplus to requirements. Napoli have agreed to loan the midfielder, Gazzetta dello Sport claims, paying €1.8m up front, with an option to pay €10m to make it permanent next summer.

Sebastien Coates

The Uruguayan centre-back is way, way down the Anfield pecking order, and it would be best for both parties if they parted ways. Sunderland are favourites to sign him on loan, reports the Star.

Daniel Agger

The club vice-captain could also be on his way out of Anfield this summer, reckons the Daily Mail. Agger hasn’t featured in either of Liverpool’s first two matches, and wasn’t even on the bench in the defeat to Manchester City, although Mamadou Sakho and Kolo Toure were. Surely his days at Anfield are numbered.

Jack Robinson

The young fullback has not progressed the way many Liverpool fans expected him to since making his debut as a 16-year-old. QPR are closing in on a £1m deal for Robinson, who will surely jump at the chance to move and play more regular football, claims the Daily Mail.

Jordon Ibe

The talented winger will not be allowed to leave Anfield permanently, but according to the Daily Mail, the 18-year-old flyer will spend the campaign on loan at Derby County, to amass more first-team matches.
