Manchester United target Arturo Vidal says he does not want to leave Juventus

After being strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford for some time Vidal has broken the silence on his future – and it won’t please Red Devils fans.

United were confident that after landing Angel di Maria they could also tempt the 27-year-old to join, but that will not be happening.

“At this point I do not go away, I stay at Juventus,” Vidal was quoted by the Daily Express.

Tom Cleverley linked with surprise £8m move to Aston Villa

Villa owner Randy Lerner has given manager Paul Lambert permission to make an ambitious bid for the 25-year-old, reports the Telegraph.

Louis van Gaal has told Cleverley that he can leave the Theatre of Dreams this summer after failing to make an impression on the Dutchman.

Lerner has given Lambert around £12m to spend on transfers and the Scot looks set to blow most of that on this Englishman.

Tottenham Hotspur to make loan move for Danny Welbeck

Another who looks set to be axed by van Gaal is this forward, who Spurs are keen to sign permanently but are also open to a loan switch.

According to the Daily Star the 23-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at United and has been told he can leave.

Tottenham are on the lookout for support in attack and view Welbeck as the ideal solution to their problems.

The Red Devils join the chase for highly rated teenage wonderkid

Stromsgodset and Norway starlet Martin Odegaard has been attracting plenty of attention this summer and van Gaal’s side have now joined the chase, reports the Telegraph.

Odegaard became the youngest ever player in his national team’s history aged 15-years and 253 days when he made his debut against UAE.

The teenager had a trial with United last December and is expected to feature against England in Wednesday’s friendly match at Wembley Stadium.

Juve and Valencia both interested in signing Javier Hernandez

Another player who’s future at Old Trafford remains uncertain is Hernandez, who has found game time hard to come by in recent times.

The Guardian reports that the Serie A champions and Los Che have shown interest as a result and will offer between £12m and £15m.

Van Gaal is keen to utilise youngsters James Wilson and Adnan Januzaj more in a striking role and this leaves little room in the squad for Hernandez.
