Arsenal will look to get back to winning ways in the Premier League after last weekend’s hard-fought draw with Everton, and should be clear favourites to triumph away to newly-promoted Leicester City. Here’s Arsenal’s probable starting XI for the trip to the King Power Stadium for Sunday’s 4pm kickoff…

GK – Wojciech Szczesny

First choice goalkeeper for Arsenal, Wojciech Szczesny has continued to put in strong performances this season despite competition from new signing David Ospina.

DR – Mathieu Debuchy

Arsenal’s new right-back, Mathieu Debuchy should continue in the Premier League despite his sending off in the Champions League this week.

DL – Nacho Monreal

With Kieran Gibbs still out injured, Spaniard Nacho Monreal will continue to fill in at left-back and has performed well in recent games.

DC- Laurent Koscielny

A key player for Arsenal, Laurent Koscielny should continue at centre-back for the game against Leicester City, lining up alongside his first-choice defensive partner Per Mertesacker.

DC – Per Mertesacker

After missing the start of the season after his exploits at this summer’s World Cup with Germany, Mertesacker is now a regular fixture in this Arsenal team again and will surely start this weekend.

DM – Mathieu Flamini

With Mikel Arteta out injured, it seems likely that Mathieu Flamini will continue as the team’s main defensive midfield player on Sunday.

DM – Aaron Ramsey

In a slightly deeper role than usual, Aaron Ramsey could feature alongside Flamini in central midfield, though he will likely continue his typical bursts forward to join the attack.

AMR – Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

After an impressive game against Besiktas, young winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain may have won himself a starting place against Leicester. The England international offers more pace and directness than some of Arsenal’s other attackers.

AML – Santi Cazorla

In something of a free role on the left-hand side, Santi Cazorla will probably continue in place of Lukas Podolski on this side of midfield for the Gunners.

AMC – Mesut Ozil

Arsenal’s main creative playmaker, Mesut Ozil should start again and take up a central role just behind the main striker, though he could also rotate with Santi Cazorla on the left flank.

FC – Alexis Sanchez

After an improved performance and a goal against Besiktas, Alexis Sanchez should continue upfront for Arsenal unless they make a new signing in the next few hours to replace the injured Olivier Giroud!
