It has been a busy week of transfers as teams look to complete their squads before the window slams shut on Monday. Here are five new signings that could make their debut this weekend:

Adam Lallana (Liverpool)

Adam Lallana’s move from Southampton to Liverpool was completed back in July, but an injury as so far prevented him from making his debut. However, various reports are suggesting that the £25m midfielder could be in line for his first appearance for the club against Tottenham on Sunday.

Samuel Eto’o (Everton)

The Cameroonian forward is set to make his debut against his former club on Saturday, as Everton take on Chelsea at Goodison Park. After being ditched by the Blues at the end of last season, the former Barcelona and Inter Milan striker will be desperate to make his mark on the game.

Mario Balotelli (Liverpool)

Liverpool fans are desperate to see how the controversial Italian forward will fit into Brendan Rodgers’ new look team. They are likely to get their wish on Sunday when the Reds face Tottenham, with the 24-year-old likely to start alongside Daniel Sturridge. He will of course be aiming to replicate the goal scoring talents of the departed Luis Suarez, so no pressure Mario!

Esteban Cambiasso (Leicester City)

The 34-year-old Argentine midfield general could make his Premier League bow when Leicester host Arsenal on Sunday. After ten years and over 300 league games for Inter Milan, it will be interesting to see how the aging holding player adapts to life in the Premier League – especially against such difficult opponents.

Angel di Maria (Manchester United)

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal will be hoping that the Argentine winger, who cost a British record transfer fee of £59.7m, will make an instant impact at Old Trafford, and can begin turning their season around when they travel to face Burnley later today. The former Real Madrid man will be under pressure straight away after United’s difficult start, with Van Gaal still seeking his first win of the campaign.
