With less than 72 hours now remaining the 2014 summer transfer window, fans of Premier League clubs will be hoping that some big names will still be arriving in English football before the window closes at 11pm on Monday evening.

There is always the other side of the coin, however, with these 10 potentially leaving the Premier League to embark on new challenges:

Davide Santon (Newcastle United)

Reports in the Italian press have linked Serie A runners-up AS Roma with a potential move for full back Davide Santon, with the former Inter Milan star having fallen out of favour at St. James’ Park.

Rafael (Manchester United)

The same report, however, suggests that Brazilian right back Rafael from Manchester United may also be a target for Rudi Garcia and Roma if they are unable to capture Santon.

Marco van Ginkel (Chelsea)

Serie A giants AC Milan have reportedly hatched a plan to sign to sign unsettled Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel from Chelsea, with the Dutchman having failed to establish himself at Stamford Bridge since signing from Vitesse Arnhem.

Daniel Agger (Liverpool)

Liverpool centre back Daniel Agger looks set to return to former club Brondby for a nominal transfer fee, having been frustrated by a lack of first team football at Anfield, despite having been an excellent servant to the club since arriving from the Danish club in 2006.

Fernando Torres (Chelsea)

One man who looks almost certain to be leaving the Premier League is Chelsea striker Fernando Torres, with the Blues having confirmed that an agreement has been reached with AC Milan for a two-year loan deal, with the former Liverpool man now having to agree personal terms and pass a medical.

Javier Hernandez (Manchester United)

Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez looks set to leave Old Trafford, having failed to grasp his opportunity in the midweek League Cup defeat to MK Dons, with Juventus and Valencia seemingly leading the chase for the Mexican’s signature.

Saphier Taider (Southampton)

Algerian international Saphir Taider’s loan move from Inter Milan to Southampton has turned into something of a farce, with reports suggesting that the player is unsettled in England and will be allowed to return to Serie A before kicking a ball for the Saints.

Roberto Soldado (Tottenham Hotspur)

Spanish striker Roberto Soldado has struggled for form and confidence since signing for Tottenham Hotspur from Valencia 12 months ago and could now be heading for the exit door, with reports linking the former Real Madrid man with a loan move to Juventus.

Anderson (Manchester City)

Another unwanted Manchester United player who could leave the club in the coming days is Anderson, who also struggled in the horrific defeat at Stadium:MK, with former club FC Porto amongst the clubs to have been linked with a move for the Brazilian who has never fulfilled his potential at Old Trafford.

Fabio Borini (Liverpool)

Despite a move having been on the table to take him back to Sunderland for much of the summer, Liverpool striker Fabio Borini doesn’t seem keen on a permanent return to Wearside and could instead be lured by a move to Serie A giants AC Milan, despite their imminent Fernando Torres.
