Manchester United have endured a hugely frustrating start to the 2014/15 Premier League season under Louis van Gaal, with a disappointing 0-0 draw against newly promoted Burnley at Turf Moor extending their winless start to the season that also saw a 4-0 battering at the hands of League One outfit MK Dons in the League Cup second round.

This could lead to a huge amount of transfer activity at Old Trafford in the final 36 hours of the transfer window, with a fee having been agreed for Ajax star Daley Blind and other inward activity expected.

Departures also seem certain, however, with the Daily Star reporting that a mass exodus is likely. These eight players could all be heading out of the exit door by 11pm on Monday evening:

Danny Welbeck

England international forward Danny Welbeck was again involved for United in the draw at Turf Moor, but van Gaal seems willing to allow the academy graduate to move on, with reports suggesting that Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are battling it out for his signature.

Anders Lindegaard

Reports emerged earlier in the transfer window suggesting that United back-up goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard was keen to leave Old Trafford in search of first team football and movement could be imminent when it comes to the Danish international’s situation.

Adnan Januzaj

It may come as some surprise that Belgian wonderkid Adnan Januzaj could leave Old Trafford, with the teenager rated as one of the club’s most exciting young talents, but shock reports have emerged that suggest that Januzaj fears that the cup defeat at Stadium:MK could be his last game for the club.

Javier Hernandez

Mexican international striker Javier Hernandez also disappointed against MK Dons and has been linked with a move away from United all summer, with reports now linking the player with a shock loan move to European champions Real Madrid, who could beat Serie A winners Juventus to the player.

Anderson

Brazilian midfielder Anderson’s Old Trafford career has largely been a car crash since a promising start and, despite being involved in the last two matches, the Daily Star report suggests that Anderson could also be heading for the exit door at the club, although persuading someone to take on his considerable wages could be an issue.

Tom Cleverley

Manchester United have reportedly accepted an offer of £7m from Premier League rivals Aston Villa for midfielder Tom Cleverley, who has been heavily criticised by fans of the club for his mediocre displays in the last couple of seasons.

Marouane Fellaini

Midfielder Marouane Fellaini, signed by David Moyes on deadline day 12 months ago, seems to have no future at Old Trafford and the Star report suggests that he could also move on, despite a prospective move to Napoli having been scuppered due to an ankle injury.

Shinji Kagawa

Japanese international playmaker Shinji Kagawa is one of a number of United players for whom the shocking Milton Keynes defeat could be a sorry footnote to their Old Trafford careers, with reports linking the player with a £6.4m return to former club Borussia Dortmund before the window slams shut.
