Fabio Borini did not leave Liverpool for QPR due to personal terms
After plenty of speculation regarding the future of the Italian, transfer deadline day came and went on Monday without anyone signing the 23-year-old.
A £10m deal was agreed between the Reds and QPR, but Borini did not complete the move after failing to agree personal terms, according to the Daily Mail.
It now means that the striker will be fighting for a place in Brendan Rodgers’ starting XI along with Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Daniel Sturridge.
The Merseysiders look set to sign Victor Valdes on a free transfer in October
Valdes is a free agent after leaving FC Barcelona this summer, although won’t be fit until next month after suffering a cruciate ligament injury.
Rodgers is desperate to find competition for No.1 Simon Mignolet as Brad Jones is not currently providing that and the Northern Irishman is eyeing up the Spain international, reports the Independent.
The move will still depend on the fitness levels of Valdes though.

In and around all the excitement of deadline day, one player who had already confirmed his departure from Anfield returned to bid farewell to his former teammates.
Suarez made the £75m switch to Barcelona this summer, but after three-and-a-half years on Merseyside wanted to say goodbye to his friends and ex-teammates.
“He is back bearing gifts. Emotional saying goodbye to the main man this morning. Best wishes to a phenomenal player,” captain Steven Gerrard wrote on his Instagram account.

Rodgers joked that Sterling made the run like Villa, but shot like Gervais, something that was wasted on the teenage star.
“At first when I was told what he said I didn’t even understand it. But I typed both names in so I know what he meant now,” the forward was quoted by the Daily Express.
