Real Madrid ace Cristiano Ronaldo thinks Radamel Falcao will be a great signing for Manchester United

The former Red Devils forward has hailed their latest loan signing who joined the club on deadline day from AS Monaco.

Falcao’s move from Ligue 1 was the big story on Monday and Ronaldo has declared that the Colombia international will be good for his former club.

“I think he will be a fantastic buy. Manchester have not started well, two points, so they need quality players and Falcao is a quality player,” the 29-year-old was quoted by the Daily Mail.

Falcao to be paid £350,000-a-week at Old Trafford

According to the Daily Express the 28-year-old is going to be paid £350,000-a-week during his time with United, making him the highest paid player in the Premier League.

This is because Falcao was earning £184,000-a-week in Monaco, with the Principality having no tax and therefore all of that was take home for the striker.

Therefore to ensure he is earning the same with them, the Red Devils have made the South American the highest paid player in British football history.

Danny Welbeck is the perfect match for Arsenal says Rene Meulensteen

The former United coach worked with Welbeck for over 10 years and believes that his move to the Emirates Stadium is the best for all concerned.

The 23-year-old completed a £16m move to the Gunners on deadline day on Monday and Meulensteen thinks it’s a good decision.

“I hate to see him go but for him it’s a fantastic move and he’s the sort of player that could really strengthen Arsenal,” the Dutchman told Sky Sports.

Club legend Gary Neville says he had a part in the Falcao deal

Now a Sky Sports pundit, the former right-back has jokingly claimed that he influenced the deal to bring the Colombian to the Theatre of Dreams.

Neville posted a picture of himself and the forward and insinuated that a bottle of red wine helped convince Falcao the move was right for him.

Red Devils’ decision not to sign Fredy Guarin scuppered Chelsea and Liverpool’s plans

Inter Milan were hoping to complete last minute deals for Fabio Borini and Mohamed Salah, but had to get rid of Guarin first, according to the Daily Express.

Louis van Gaal was strongly linked with the midfielder as an alternative to long-term target Arturo Vidal of Juventus.

However, in the end no deal was struck and it means Inter will have to wait until at least January for Borini and Salah.
