With the 2014/15 season up and running it won’t be long until the new FIFA 15 game is launched and ahead of the release CaughtOffside has found the leaked statistics of the top 10 goalkeepers.

Stats courtesy of Purely Football.

10. Diego Lopez, AC Milan – rating: 84

The former Real Madrid stopper left the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu this summer following the arrival of Keylor Navas from Levante, but anyone who can usurp Iker Casillas from the No.1 spot must have something about them.

9. David de Gea, Manchester United – rating: 84

Moving up the ratings is a young ‘keeper who despite the problems going on around him at Old Trafford continues to keep improving and could well be in line for the Spain No.1 jersey soon.

8. Samir Handanovic, Inter Milan – rating: 84

With the same rating as 12 months ago it is arguably one of the most underrated stoppers in world football and a player who keeps performing well at Inter when others at the San Siro fail.

7. Salvatore Sirigu, Paris Saint-Germain – rating: 84

With expensive superstars arriving all around him at the Parc des Princes, it says a lot about how highly manager Laurent Blanc rates this Italy international that he hasn’t been replaced.

6. Hugo Lloris, Tottenham Hotspur – rating: 84

To many the France captain is the best stopper in the Premier League and his sweeper-keeper style has certainly reinvigorated the Spurs back line.

5. Iker Casillas, Real Madrid – rating: 85

It’s perhaps somewhat surprising that the Spaniard hasn’t dropped further than one in the ratings after a relatively poor previous two years for both club and country.

4. Petr Cech, Chelsea – rating: 85

Despite not being first choice at Stamford Bridge currently the Czech Republic international is expected to maintain his 85 status, although may not be a Blues player for much longer.

3. Thibaut Courtois, Chelsea – rating: 85

The reason Cech is watching from the bench currently is because of this talented 22-year-old, who after three impressive years on-loan with Atletico Madrid is now back in West London.

2. Gianluigi Buffon, Juventus – rating: 86

Despite now being 36-years-old, unlike his younger compatriot Casillas the Italy captain has not let his form drop as his years advance and Buffon is still a world-class performer.

1. Manuel Neuer, Bayern Munich – rating: 87

Yet top of the pile – and there’s little argument he deserves it – is a ‘keeper who has been utterly dominant over the past few years and has won the Champions League and the World Cup, among many other achievements.
