Colombian superstar Radamel Falcao will become the fifth later this month, having been awarded the famous jersey after completing a big-money loan move from AS Monaco.

5. Brian McClair
Not the most fashionable number nine, the Scot, who played for United between 1987 and 1998, scored 88 goals in 357 top-flight appearances during his Old Trafford career. Many of those goals came before the inception of the Premier League in 1992. Often played in midfield.
4. Louis Saha
Joined United from Fulham for a six-figure transfer fee in January 2004. Bagged 42 goals in 124 games in all competitions during four and a half seasons at Old Trafford, helping the club win two Premier League titles, one League Cup and the 2008 Champions League.
3. Andy Cole
Formed an unstoppable partnership with Dwight Yorke, which peaked during the 1998-99 campaign when United won the treble. Surprisingly though, Cole never scored 20 league goals in one season for the Red Devils.
2. Radamel Falcao
Falcao has a great chance to top this list if he delivers top form at Old Trafford, but only time will tell if he is fully over the injury problems which wrecked last season for him. His record at his last three clubs is exceptional. He scored 41 goals in 51 league games for Porto, before netting 52 times in 68 for Atletico Madrid. Falcao has bagged 11 goals in 20 Ligue 1 games for Monaco to date.
1. Dimitar Berbatov
One of the classiest striker’s England has ever seen. Interestingly, Berbatov is the man who has filled Falcao’s place at Monaco. The Bulgarian enjoyed some brilliant times at Old Trafford. His best season was the 2010-11 campaign, when he topped the Premier League’s scoring charts with 20 goals.
