After three weeks of Premier League action, most people have probably given up on their fantasy football teams already, having realised just how far behind the lucky leaders they are.

However, we are still interested.

Here, we look at which footballers have scored the most points so far in the Premier League’s official game.

Goalkeeper: Allan McGregor (5.0m) – Hull City – 17 points

McGregor is top of the goalkeeping charts right now, largely thanks to his heroics on the opening day, saving a penalty and keeping a clean sheet in a 1-0 win at Queens Park Rangers.

Defender: Eric Dier (£5.4m) – Tottenham Hotspur (30 points)

Dier had a bit of a stinker in his last match – conceding a penalty in the 3-0 defeat to Liverpool. However, he scored twice and contributed to two clean sheets in his first two league appearances for Spurs.

Defender: Branislav Ivanovic (£7.2m) – Chelsea (29 points)

Just like Dier, big Branislav has scored twice already this season, netting in Chelsea’s wins at Burnley and Everton.

Defender: Ryan Shawcross (£5.5m) – Stoke City (20 points)

Scored an equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Hull City and helped the Potters secure a surprise shutout in a 1-0 win at Manchester City.

Defender: Nathaniel Clyne (£5.1m) – Southampton (19 points)

Scored in Southampton’s opening-day defeat at Liverpool, was solid in the 0-0 draw with West Brom and made an assist during the 3-1 win over West Ham.

Midfielder: Gylfi Sigurdsson (£6.5m) – Swansea City (29 points)

Made an instant impact following his transfer from Spurs, scoring one goal and providing four assists in his first three games for the Swans.

Midfielder: Nathan Dyer (£5.6m) – Swansea City (27 points)

The speedy winger has already bagged three goals.

Midfielder: Raheem Sterling (£8.7m) – Liverpool (22 points)

Arguably the best English player in the Premier League at the moment. Sterling has already had a hand in three Liverpool goals this term – scoring two and setting one up.

Midfielder: Aaron Ramsey (£9.1m) – Arsenal (21 points)

Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas also has 21 points, but Ramsey is slightly better to have in your team as he is 0.2m cheaper.

Striker: Steven Naismith (£5.4m) – Everton (24 points)

Scotland star Naismith has scored in every single game so far this term. Everton are yet to win a match this season though, despite netting seven times.

Striker: Diego Costa (£10.6m) – Chelsea (24 points)

The Premier League’s leading goalscorer with four, Costa was rumoured to be injured in the build up to Chelsea’s 6-3 win at Everton. Imagine how good he’ll be when he is fully fit!
