The French giants are desperate to keep spending big on new players after enduring something of a difficult transfer window, with the £50m signing of David Luiz from Chelsea limiting their activity in the transfer market afterwards.

Big names such as Angel Di Maria and Eden Hazard were linked with PSG in recent months, but players had to be sold before Laurent Blanc could spend any more on new arrivals.

PSG struggled to negotiate deals for some of their unwanted squad players to leave, but will now try again in January with three players set for the firing line, which could spell good news for big names in the Premier League.

3) Ezequiel Lavezzi

Linked with a host of English clubs during the summer, Ezequiel Lavezzi could now be available for just £18m, which should spark further interest from the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan. The Argentine winger has not quite found his best form at the Parc des Princes since joining PSG from Napoli in 2012, but remains a top talent and one who could shine in the Premier League if given the chance.

2) Javier Pastore

A classy playmaker, Javier Pastore may be granted an exit from PSG if the club receive offers in the region of £20m. The Argentine, who shone in Serie A with Palermo before becoming one of the Ligue 1 giants’ first big-name signings following their Qatari takeover, has not quite been at his best in France, but could prove a useful signing for long-time admirers Manchester United, while a return to Italy has also been mooted as he attracts rumoured interest from the likes of Juventus and AS Roma.

1) Edinson Cavani

One of the best strikers in the world, things haven’t quite worked out for Uruguayan hot-shot Edinson Cavani at PSG since he moved from Napoli last summer. It is thought that PSG tried to sell him this summer before an injury to Zlatan Ibrahimovic persuaded them to delay their decision, though a January move could still be on the cards if the club recoup around £50m of what they paid for him last year. Arsenal and Liverpool were linked with the 27-year-old in the summer, and may look at him again, while other big names such as Chelsea and Juventus could also be in for him.
