Following Manchester United’s enormous adidas kit deal, founder of SportsBusiness International Kevin Roberts claimed that they are in a financial position where they could comfortably sign a “Suarez a year,” the Telegraph reports.

The world-class striker cost Barcelona £75m in July, making him the third most expensive player of all time.

Here’s ten stars who we reckon could fetch similarly huge money next summer, if Roberts’ statement is true…

10) Paul Pogba – Juventus

The world’s best young midfielder, Pogba would command an enormous transfer fee because of his age and potential.

9) Raphael Varane – Real Madrid

Arguably the best young defender in the world, Varane would be a brilliant addition for United who desperately need new defenders.

8) Arturo Vidal – Juventus

Linked heavily in the summer, Vidal ended up staying at Juventus, but could walk into any side in the world.

7) Andres Iniesta – Barcelona

The legendary midfielder is arguably the best in the modern generation, and was actually occasionally linked in the summer because of failing contract negotiations with Barcelona.

6) Marco Reus – Borussia Dortmund

Reus is a wonderful dribbler, and scores and assists goals aplenty. Aged only 25, he’d be worth shelling out huge money on.

5) Thomas Muller – Bayern Munich

Truly world-class, although he doesn’t get the plaudits he deserves. Bayern would demand a monstrous fee due to his age and versatility.

4) Mats Hummels – Borussia Dortmund

One of the world’s best and most coveted central defenders, Hummels has yet to even reach his peak.

3) Edinson Cavani – PSG

The Uruguayan powerhouse cost PSG £57m in the summer of 2013, and a similarly huge fee would likely be needed to coax him from France.

2) Arjen Robben – Bayern Munich

Robben seemingly gets better with age, and United’s manager Louis van Gaal is known to be an enormous fan, having worked with Robben during his stint n charge of Holland.

1) Cristiano Ronaldo – Real Madrid

The current Ballon D’or holder, Ronaldo has been linked with a romantic return to Old Trafford next summer, with a £55m fee mooted.
