The Blues continued their perfect start to the season with a healthy 4-2 victory over fellow table toppers Swansea. After falling behind early on through a John Terry own goal, Diego Costa bagged himself a stunning hat trick with substitute Loic Remy opening his account late on. It was a ruthless performance and that has been reflected in the ratings below.

Didn’t have much to do, and can’t be faulted for the goals, another decent performance from the Belgian.

Cesar Zapilicueta – 7/10

Still filling in capably on the left side of the defence to keep Felipe Luis out of the side.

John Terry – 7/10

His own goal was inevitable and he did what any defender worth his salt would do. Unlucky.

Gary Cahill – 7/10

Cahill gets better with every game that goes by, in disposable to the team.

Branislav Ivanovic – 8/10

Had his hands full with Swansea’s tricky wingers, but stood up well and disposed of the threat.

Nemanja Matic – 8/10

Kept the side ticking a protected the back line whenever Fabregas got forward.

Cesc Fabregas – 9/10

Recovered from a shaky start to play a crucial role in Chelsea’s fightback. As good as we remembered!

Andre Schuurle – 6/10

Struggled, and eventually went off at half time.

Eden Hazard – 7/10

A little quieter with the diminished responsibility, but still played his part.

Oscar – 6/10

More anonymous than his teammates, but like Hazard still played his part in a big win.

Diego Costa – 10/10

Looked threatening throughout and got his rewards with a terrific hat trick.

Ramires – 7/10

Came on at half time and added an extra padding in front of the defence.

Loic Remy – 9/10

A cameo appearance, but capped off his debut with a goal.

Mohamed Salah – 6/10

Came on too late to make a real impact, but still looked lively.
